Before creating quwa studio, I didn’t realise how many women, myself included, were wearing the wrong bra size. Up to 85% of us are.
That's exactly why I built this bra size calculator: to make it simple, accurate, and actually useful.

But before that, here is how to get it right:
- Wear a seamless, unlined, non-underwired bra - no padding, no seams, no shaping. The goal is light containment without altering the natural shape of your breast.
- Use a soft measuring tape. A dressmaker's tape measure only. A rigid ruler cannot follow the curves of your body accurately.
- Stand tall in front of a mirror. Relax your shoulders and let them rest slightly back. The mirror will help you keep the tape parallel to the floor across your back.
- Breathe normally. Don't hold your breath or pull the tape too tight. Measurements taken while tense will not reflect your true size.

Your underbust
1. Snug
Wrap the tape directly under your bust, where the bra band sits. Pull it snug. It should feel firm against your skin, but you should still be able to take a full breath.
2. Tight
Same position, but this time pull the tape as firmly as you can against your skin. The band provides around 80% of a bra's support, it needs to be firm enough to carry the weight of your bust throughout the day.

3. Standing
Stand straight and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust.
Across your back, the tape should be parallel to the floor.
On the breast side, allow the tape to follow the natural shape of your bust at its fullest point. It may angle slightly downward, and that is correct.
Do not pull the tape tight, it should rest gently against the skin.
4. Bent at 90°
Lean forward at a 90° angle and let your breasts fall naturally.
Wrap the tape around the fullest point. The tape should be parallel to the floor across your back, and follow the fullest point of your breast at the front.
